Smart Paint Repair Warranty?

When I bought my Z 2½ years ago it came with a 3 year smart repair warranty.

As this is due to expire soonish and hasn't been claimed on I was thinking it might be worth claiming to get the few stone chips etc. I have on the bonnet and one rear wing sorted.

I am concerned though that iI get it done and then it looks worse than before they touched it.

It's a titanium silver roadster.

What's the general opinion?

Some report good results, but as andysat says hit and miss.

I'd never use one as it's a patch up job however you look at it, albeit in some instances a neat one. I have concerns about how it lasts over time given what they do. That said they are way better than a few years ago.

See some work the finisher has done and decide from there.

Had a smart repair by ChipsAway 2 years ago. Now area looks worse than before, so would not recommend getting it done.

Chips Away did SWMBO's grande punto few years back, real good job, same bloke did my e46 a few months later and burnt the paint! :(

Surely the warranty only covers the workmanship of previous repairs. Wouldn't have thought they would cover stone chips.

Did this in Devon last week and had a smart repair done today at Stratstone in Chesterfield and it now looks perfect again
