Small rip inside the interiors covertable top

Did you have the car at the dealer for work. The reason I asked I took my car in for seat belt problem in Florida and when I got the car back I had a rip in the head liner. They told me about it and said that they didn't know if was there before or not which it wasn't. They had to replace the head liner. They did a great job and it took all day.

I ripped mine last year while removing the seats to do some work. It was about 1.5 inches long. I remember having to raise or lower the top during the process and I heard this awful sound. Later I saw the damage. I was sick about it at the time. I borrowed my wife's curved sewing needle and some black thread and stitched it up.
When I was at the dealers last week for an oil change I was talking with the service manager and unprompted he started going on about how they ripped someones liner. According to him it is a design flaw. I think he said that the seat belt buckle can end up in a position that is lethal to the liner when opening and/or closing the top.
