Small mod - LED license plate lights

I've tried taking several pics. The light just doesn't show up that well in a picture. I was referring to when the car made it here people could check it out at night. On that note, I'd be willing to pop out a bulb and see if it works in yours.

i wouldnt think bmw would go to the trouble of designing more than one licence plate bulb fitting for the car, im sure it would fit
 
I can confirm the bimmian set fits in a UK Z4.. I had it installed quite a while ago. To be honest I am s bit disappointed with the quality of the bulb as it is too "blue" - not enough "white" in the "xenon" look. More importantly it is way too dim to really light anything up.
 
IMO I think the OEM's are also about as dim on mine. I noticed a slight loss in brightness, but the overall effect was nice.

If they can be fitted without any modifications to Z4, I will put them on my car. The light looks very bright in the dark. How much are they?
 
So if the lights become dimmer......is it really worth it for £30 do you think?

I don't mind a blue tinge as my car is blue, so might look pretty good?
 
As I said, once I get the car back I'm welcome to show someone personally so they can make a decision.
