Small Hole on the roof

There is a very samll hole on the fabric roof (3mm in diameter). The hole is only on the top layer of the fabric, but some rubber and second layer of fabric are exposed. The quality of the picture is not good because my crap camera cannot focus close subject.

The hole has been there since I bought the car in February this year. So far the roof is okay and there is no leaking or sign of damp patch inside. Should I still get it repaired? What is the structure of the fabric roof on Z4? Can BMW dealers repair the roof, or should I bring it to roof specialists? The other side of the roof had a small hole too, but was repaired. The hole is covered by a small piece of cloth. Is it a proper roof repair?

I'm glad someone else brought this up. I have a small tear developing on the fabric and I'm worried. I took it to a convertible repair shop and the guy said there's nothing to do.

I'm sure we can get an answer here!!

Don't even think about doing it yourself.

use Google or Yell.com to search for vehicle trimmers in your area and talk to them.

But Carhood only supply and fit hoods, not repair.

"So if you require a hood for your BMW, a Mazda MX5 or an MGF or for any other vehicle from Alfa to Volkswagen we really do top the lot! All of our services include: new car hoods, car hood fitting, car hood repairs, prestige car hoods. "............. :) :) :)

Will this work? The hole on my Z4's roof is only on the very top layer.
