Small Garage Contortionism!

as others have said,

carpet the walls, reverse in as you can sort of fold the car against the wall, and lots of markers for you to use as reference when going in. or park with the roof down and leap out over the back! :D

You can hang a tennis ball on string at the back of the garage to mark when to stop. Hang it so the bonnet or front windscreen touches it when it's time to stop. One less thing to focus on when trying to miss the sides!

Hold the key unlock for 3 secs when unlocking to auto window down (on e86 anyway - is it auto top down on facelift e85?) and set one of the seat memory settings to push the seat right back, then set second seat memory to driving position to sort it back out once in the car.

Mines OKish for width its the length thats a pain

Glad I have electric mirrors as the Zed only just squeezes through the door without the mirrors folded.

No way I would reverse in :?

I do this except I use 2" thick insulation foam and use the door mirror passing the door frame as my first marker and a plank running across on the floor as a marker of when to stop.

Use chalk to set up your sighting points before attaching the tape of painting lines.

Attach a low sill (wood strip) to floor to know when to stop or how far over to go.

Buy some largish secondhand cheap mirrors and use them positioned and hung carefully so you can see all vulnerable points.

If reversing out (or in) - always put the roof down first!
