Small Drivers

I never knew so many 'little people' drive z4's

I'm 6ft and I don't think i'd like to drive the z4 if I was any taller. My knee often hits the dash which can be annoying.

Move the seat back? :poke:

It might be argued that smaller people have a better fit ! ... esp with the fairly low roof line. You can adjust the seats electrically up or down, and I don't keep mine anywhere near the top setting.

The only issue I have noticed is that ...
* for my arms: I like the seat fairly far back ... so that my elbows have just a slight bend to them when holding the steering wheel
* ... but in that setting, the pedals are just a smidgeon too far for my legs to comfortably reach ...
so I probably end up sitting a couple of inches closer to the steering wheel than I would consider ideal. [ I think the steering wheel only goes up and down, not in and out .. can't remember ]

It creaks on the plastic bit behind the seat, which is very annoying :headbang: the seats aren't the best either, backpain central.

I am 5'5", and find myself doing exactly the same.

It's getting used to knowing how long the front is without actually seeing it, took a while, but now I don't even think about it. Though sometimes I lean forward when I'm going around tight corners, I know (at least I think I do) where the front is, but it's nice to see it for reassurance!

5 4 here and no problems, often wonder how tall people cope with the Z, as I seem to have my seat nearly all the way back as it is.

I'm 6'3" and fit in nicely. The seat is on the lowest setting and it's pushed back as far as it'll go before it starts rubbing (and creaking) against the back. But I only have about an inch between my left knee and the dash. So I can't think that someone much taller would fit. I always find it a comfy car to drive.

At 6'2" I'm glad I'm not the only one with the left knee problem! And the seat being pushed back all the way and rubbing can get slightly annoying sometimes :(
