Hi Everyone,
I have only just become a member as I hope that sometime in the future I will be the proud owner of a Z4 Coupe however that depends very much on the answers I get to my query which is as follows:- I am vertically challenged being only 5 Foot 4 inches tall and my wife just about reaches the 5 foot mark so my question is do the seats in the Z4 (I presume all models have the same seats) raise up enough for someone of our height to be able to see over the steering wheel and drive the car safely, are there other members out there of a similar stature as ourselves who drive without any problems. Unfortunately there are no Z4's on sale near to where I live that I can test drive hence me posting this thread.
Many thanks.

My wife is 5'2" and she can drive ours without problems - she's a bit scared of doing so but that's mainly down to the power available....

I'm 5 4 and had no problems.

Plenty of adjustments to accommodate those that are even smaller too.

What with the stupid bonnet there are no people that can see what is just in front of the car.

you should be fine

No problems. I'm 5'6" and my gf is around 5'3" and we have no problems at all driving the car. There's plenty of adjustment left in it.

Agreed, at 6' i cant see a god damn thing in front of me. I dont need to, i know how far the bonnet goes, same with any car.
I do bang my head getting in sometimes, i probably need a prayer mat to crawl in with.

5'4 is very tall, i am 5'2 and have no problems

there are not many car bonnents i can see lol

if you're anywhere near me then i'm happy to let your wife have a try in my coupe

Same as all above - I am 5'7" ish and I am fine, my wife is 5' and she can drive it... Though she doesn't like the size of the bonnet. Memory seats would be a good idea though, so you don't have to mess around each time one of you drives the car.

My sincere thanks to all of you who have answered my initial query on whether or not I would be able to drive a Z4 coupe due to my small stature. Thanks also to the kind person who offered to let my wife try out their car unfortunately we live at the opposite end of the country. I will look forward to owning the coupe in the near future.
Regards to you all.

5 4 here and no problems, often wonder how tall people cope with the Z, as I seem to have my seat nearly all the way back as it is.

I'm 6'2' and fit nice and snug.

The seat moves way forward and almost up to the windscreen. The steering wheel adjusts too.

I wouldn't worry too much you'll fit.

After all Warwick Davis drives a 4X4! :driving:

+1 but I only bang my head when it's raining otherwise the roof is down! :D

I am a towering 5'7" tall, had 2 Z3's , 2 Z4's and a Boxster S, nay problems with seeing forward, the seats could could go far past what I needed so 5'2" would be OK...

My pal from Mesa is 6'6" and barely fits, with his knees hitting the dash......these cars are made for us "Normal" size humans

Go for it

PS, you can always shim up a seat

I'm 5ft 8 and safely drive mine with the seat in the lowest position :)

I'm 6'3" and fit in nicely. The seat is on the lowest setting and it's pushed back as far as it'll go before it starts rubbing (and creaking) against the back. But I only have about an inch between my left knee and the dash. So I can't think that someone much taller would fit. I always find it a comfy car to drive.
