I've noticed my clutch has started slipping slightly under hard acceleration. It feels fine to operate and operates smoothly but I have noticed that if you just touch the clutch with a feather it'll slip. Called Rybrook Bmw and they quoted £750.00 fitted. Local indy who I'd rather use quoted a similar price

A LUK clutch kit costs £160-190 (depending on manufacture year) at mister auto, so you can figure out the labour yourself :wink:
Funny enough the exact same clutch parts are a lot cheaper at the same misterauto, but then my mainland webshop...

No that's without a new DMF. I've just had a quote off Severn Valley motorsport of £320.00 fitted plus £420.00 extra if DMF needed.
I replaced the whole LUK kit, but mainly because the DMF rattled like hell. It was at some 75.000 kilometres. Anyway, I did feel a slight clutch slip at that time - especially when driving really hard.. I remember that the clutch was cheap as chips, the DMF still almost 50% cheaper than at the stealers, but it was labour (my trusted indy) that added much to the price tag.
Update on the clutch...booked in with Autotech performance in Telford in a couple of weeks. Mix up with the cost as the labour was included in the estimate not on top of. I'm glad it's going to Pete as I know it will be a brilliant job. Going to get the CDV done as well.....so all good
