I span my z4 this morning, many times! But it was ok because i was driving around the Thruxton skidpan :)
Went with a mate from the village in his Honda s2000 & found it great fun with loads of opposite lock and uncontrollable spinning

I was quite good at spinning! Definitely found the limit of grip, then i ran over it a few times to be sure :P

Might want to look at the 400,000 boot water ingress topics after that little stint Roberto

Or should it be Paul Simon?

Looks like fun..so its just very slippy? You are on your normal tyres?

Are you now a drift expert?

Did this a few years ago, great fun, but was in their cars. Guessing COVID has changed that and you go out in your own cars now then?

Nice one!
Not easy at all doing this in a rear wheel drive car. Is yours auto or manual?

How long did you have on track? or rather, how long was the whole experience?

Someone linked a video to a tyre review guy recently. He used a Toyota Supra on a skid pan. Albeit that it was professionally edited footage it did show the difference that experience and continued practice on track can make.

Lots of fun Pete, it’s soaked with water via integrated jets whenever it’s in danger of drying out.
My mate with the Honda had normal tyres fitted & said it felt almost like ice, i still have my Michelin cross climate’s on the car & they gave noticeably more grip to the extent i had to provoke the slides.
Definitely not an expert, but it gives valuable experience in catching the slide with opposite lock & regaining control.

Hi, there’s a choice of using their car or your own - i wanted the practice in my own car as it’s more relevant imho

Hi, it’s very tricky to avoid spinning! My car has a manual box & we got approximately an hour on the course shared between us (only one car allowed on at one time for obvious reasons)
