Slight part throttle jerkiness after new plugs??

Hi everyone

I fitted some new plugs in my 3.0 about a month ago now and have been struggling a bit ever since with a bit of a light throttle hesitation.

Ive tried the TPS / throttle reset but it didn't really make any difference.

I'm just wondering if the plugs I've used aren't quite as good as the genuine BMW ones that were in there before?

I used NGK BKR6EQUP plugs, they have the four electrodes on the bottom whereas the ones I removed only had 1 (and could be gapped, therefore).

I've also noticed about a 1 to 2 MPG loss after fitting these too.

Any ideas? Anything else I should check?

Thanks

Ah ill be interested in this, might be my imagination but sure I'm getting the same kind of thing, not sure the plugs were changed for the proper ones in the inspection 2.......

I'm going to give mine a good checking over at the weekend - air filter check, all vacuum hoses etc etc.

If anyone has the correct part number for NGK Iridiums on the 2006 3.0si N52 engine would be much appreciated :)

When this happened in my 3 series, it turned out to be a shattered plug and the car would run on 5. Smooth as you like until you put your foot down too.

I moved away from NGK after that, who I'd always used, and moved back to bosch.

Interesting, well I'm going to try out the NGK Iridium plugs and see how that goes. Is it normal on the n52 to get quite a lot of burble mostly in 2nd gear when letting off the throttle even on fairly low revs.....? Hope it is as its a great sound! Just seems MPG might be a bit down on what others achieve, wondering if it might be running a tad rich....
