Slight oily fumes smell inside the cabin

Hi All,
I have an oily fumes smell coming in to the cabin of my 2007 Coupe today. I noticed it pretty much straight away after start up but thought as the car has been unused for 2 months, the smell / fumes would go. They didn’t and I had to cut my little fun run short, as it was getting to my throat!
Has anyone experienced anything similar and if so what was the cause?
Thanks - Alex

Get a burnt oil smell from time to time on start up ( along with small amount of smoke from engine compartment) - mine is caused by brake vacuum pump leaking oil onto cat - will be getting new seal sorted in new year

Check the resonator pipe the feeds engine sound into cabin, it’s on the passenger side below the glovebox.. if it becomes detached from its bung you can get fumes from the engine bay coming into the cabin

Rocker cover gasket may be leaking oil onto exhaust.

+1 for this, i had a leak with this gasket and it wasn't much to get fixed, worth looking at after checking the other simple solutions already suggested
