Skyfall

The Bourne movies changed the way fight scenes are portrayed, more realistic and brutal. Great films, it's a shame though that they didn't follow the books storyline which is better.

More so changed the bond films
 
It's not Bond anymore, may has well have been another Bourne film.

Bond is, gadgets, underwater cars, laser watches, ......that's what set him apart, things not available.
Every other action film has a 'radio and a gun' In fact I had to try and remember the second gift he was given by the new 'Q'. thats how memorable it was, Wasn't like that with an invisible car...,
Lets go back to the old Bond, not just another action film.
Nice filming and sets, but I went to see James Bond, not David Attenborough....

Finally got to see it yesterday, now had a bit of time to think about it and thought it was good but not brilliant, I think I'm in a minority that I think the films are better without the increasingly stupid gadgets (couldn't stand the disappearing Aston in the last of the Roger Moo, oop's sorry Pierce Brosman films) and that things happen in this one which link back to old Bond films.

As for the Bourne films, they are great movies but the only thing the sequels take from the books is the title, at the end of the first book he knows who he is and what's happened to him, the second book starts with him married with children and making a living as lecturer before moving the action to China, not managed to read the 3rd yet.



Still a good way to kill afternoon though :thumbsup:

I too also got to see it yesterday, and I unfortunatly have to agree with Richard, Good but not brilliant and after all the hype surrounding the movie I feel a bit let down.
 
Just come back from watching it, was really good. I want to go to Scotland now. Wasn't that girl with the long hair pretty?

love the films grown up with Bond started reading the books when I was in my teens which is a good 30 years ago. and soon realised the books are far better than the films so to get the real Bond you have to read the books. then you see the books are nothing like the films.
The film that made Bond how we see it now was True Lies (good film)
I do remember Erica's dad co wrote and produced a version of The Man with the Golden Gun with Eric Winstone. (good times) :)

great cinema ( seats are just what i want in my Z & there was only another 15 folks in there :thumbsup: )
great movie but for me Casino Royale is the 007 daddy .
