It sounds better If you pronounce it as sounded in proper glaswegian: "scchh-skai-faawwww-awwllll" :P

Yuck, I have to clean all that spit off my screen now having read that phonetic word :o

 you just reminded me of Austin Powers goldmember, probably one of the best "non-bond"-"bond" movies :D

I'm with aquazi - just seen the movie and it was beautifully photographed, Shanghai, Macau, Turkey, Scotland all fabulous but I have to agree and say it wasn't the kind of Bond film I expect to see. I was hoping for more set pieces and action - more gimics and gadgets - I do get the 'changing role of Bond' message through the film but there are so many 'secret agent' films now I was hoping to be thrilled and surprised - not really. A decent enough film but it wasn't special enough to be the best Bond film for me.
Anyone else sick of seeing the best set action pieces on TV before getting to see it at the cinema - takes all the surprise and thrill out of the experience - I was hoping to see something else in the film - I was disappointed. Wonderful Scotland scenes at the end though and I would definately be up for a Skyfall run in the Zed during 2013. Yes please!

Try the Scottish 2013 meets thread in the meets and runs section for more info on the Skyfall run :)

Just seen the movie and thought it was garbage. The only thing it had was cinematography, some nicely shot scenes. But what happened to the plot? Where was the dialogue? And the action had no suspense to it at all ! I know I'm in the minority here as everyone I know who has seen it likes it, but for me it had nothing of merit.

Don't think it will be well remembered in the bond saga.

The issue is, Bond films are never meant to be proper meaningful films, and this is what Sam Mendes has turned it into....it was too much like a film that's aiming to be something that its not. Not enough gadgets, the car choice was pants, no proper Bond girl and sooooo slow to get going....

+1. I'm in the minority with you. I saw it yesterday. Its a rubbish film, fir all of the reasons you mention.

I was bored and found myself glancing at my watch. They are lucky they had Daniel Craig's charisma. Otherwise it would have been canned in the making.

Just come in from watching the film and I liked it a lot.

Beautiful cinematography and I liked how they've brought it back to the male M and Moneypenny.

I was a bit disappointed there was no car chase and no other decent cars apart from the DB5.

Its not the best Bond film but certainly not the worst.

Just waiting for The Hobbit now. :D

sssshhh, don't give anything away for those that have not seen it 8)

Went to see it last week and thought it was pretty good, well directed and beautifully shot. It is a lot deeper than any bond film that has come before it and its good to find out why bond is bond...

for me though the baddy was pants, he was made out to be this ruthless murderer but came across as the only queer in the village :D

It still bugs the hell out of me......every time I hear the chorus of Adeles song I hear "apple crumble". If you have not yet you will now

mmm...skyfall...mmm still cant make up my mind. Saw it at the imax and i really enjoyed it whilst i was watching it however on leaving the cinema it did bug me that pretty much ever car in it was a jag or landie, he drank alot of a certain type of larger, and the lack of gadgets. having said that some of the scenes were epic and the humour was distinctly british.
