Skyfall

Saw it last night, good evenings entertainment - but then thats all that kind of film is ever going to be.

I too saw it last night. It was....OK. I guess that after all the hype I expected more! I would recommend it, but don't expect to be blown away. It's OK.

I thoroughly enjoyed this, best Bond in a long while. Finally, we get a great baddie! Bardem steals most of the scenes he's in.

Scotland looked lovely, made me want to go on a road trip in the Z...

By the way, the Bond residence was built + filmed in Surrey, not Scotland. Only that moody "Goldfinger still" shot was Scotland.

watched it last night with a couple of mates we all agreed good film and worth the money to see it but not enough of The Bond girl

Going to see this with Mrs B in about 20mins

We have an evening off as well then :D

Indeed. Wee Bing is at a friend's till lunchtime tomorrow  :D

Enjoyed the movie, much more 'personal' than many I thought... Some great retro references, x2 on that poor car

All in all a big

Just got back from watching it.

Am i the only one who feels the daniel craig ones are not real bond films?

Where's all the action and gadgets?

The story admittedly has more depth but i dont care for that with Bond

Been to see it as well tonight- loved the DB5 over rannoch moor and then the pass of glencoe- think well be having a forum skyfall run next year- who's going to get their coupe resprayed in AM Silver Birch for the occasion.

Thought it was a good film - interesting to see now the Ford PAG deal is finished more of a mix of cars although a lot of JLR products in it.

Brought back fond memories of the Braemar Boogie Blast in August 8)

We did the same stretch for the Skye Run in 2010

There we go the 2013 Skyefall Run

is it me or is Skyfall not a very Scottish sounding name !

It's a crap Scottish name... 2013 SkyeFall Run though - I am there already, start the thread :D

I'm not going to give any spoilers, but for those of us that attended the Scottish weekender in May, did we drive on that road? You will know immediately which one I'm talking about.

I'm fairly sure it was the road we were on, sure enough that I almost leapt out of my chair whilst excitedly whispering to the other half that I'd had the Z4 along it! He wasn't as impressed with my running commentary as I had hoped...
We did indeed, well spotted :)

Well, part of it anyway - they filmed on several roads but the only one I'm 100% certain of was the big overhead shot taken on the A82 across Rannoch Moor (not too far south of Fort William). Big glen, straight(ish) 2-lane road, awesome scenery.

I was a complete sad git. I'd randomly selected Friday as annual leave, so Mrs a11y and I ended up at a 10.20am showing on Friday morning - probably the earliest showing in Scotland it seems. EPIC film IMO, absolutely loved it.

They look to have used other sections of the A82 as well a11y as you can see the Buck at the entrance to Glencoe clearly in some later shots ... Great road

Sky Fail.

Lots of dark knight, poor story line and abysmal one liners.

Daniel craig is the best bond no doubt and casino royale the best of three.

At this rate they will be casting Jason Statham soon.

6/10

Great Film and great scenery. Glen Coe is a great place to drive (and fly if you get the chance!). Seeing the Buachaille brought back happy memories.

Not your typical Bond film but still up there as one of my favourites.

Take a bow sir. I'll be nicking that title for the run I hope to plan for April/May next year if you don't mind...

I am taking a bow, however in reality ZermattV came up with it first in the post above mine, so I should yield to his brilliance
