B&Bs are a requirement though, I'm done with camping - I refuse to miss another early morning blast

Twas one of the best nights sleep I've had in a tent - and the A road early morning blast hunting out breakfast was 15 minutes of awesome, rather than 40 minutes of scenery.

amongst them some whom I consider to be ‘proper’ lifers

Must mean Ian and Craig I guess, as they joined waaayyy back - just as well a11y didn't come along too then if long-service is intimidating ;)

Thanks

How's about I just bring bacon, buns, a stove and a big pan?

That might work for me, but WB will probably not be persuaded... Though there are places that a B&B may not be possible, like Applecross.

I think 'intimidating' is a bit strong... But it focused the attention. Your and jaRED's advice throughout was very welcome though, especially the concise and direct manner of that from your good lady

@Lynchy - you'd have loved it mate, next time :driving:

Sounds like you all had an awesome time, wish I was there! Unfortunately I was busy setting up my new bizzo and had to get it online asap!

There is always next year

Lovely pictures Wee Bing!

Lovely commentary Big Bing!

Really brings the trip back clearly - great shots that take me straight back to the driver's seat! Nice one! :driving:

Good job both!

:driving:

Allan, I also mentioned that we should do this again Next year, especially as I missed the Sunday run.....more than happy to help with that for sure, as didn't have the time this year, not that you needed it anyway....superb run mate :driving:

All going well we can have more Scottish forum members in attendance next time :D

Also, John/Sammyz and me have been chatting about a Welsh meet, planned for APRIL/MAY next year, so Maybe go for Early /mid August??

Wales - I like that idea
+3 Some lovely roads :driving: Ade & Liz Flint arranged a run around the Elan valley area for the Alpina forums last year and, although the scenery wasn't quite as spectacular as that on the Skye run, it was a most enjoyable weekend

I always thought it as a shame Alpina never put 4 exhausts on their Z4 variant

Much more refined, dear boy, Alpina obviously didn't want their drivers to look like yobbos :poke:

Yeah, I think John/sammyz was thinking of any time from late march/April upto early May, depending what suited the majority....will speak to him soon, as his past Wales meets have always been great for those on here who were there :driving:

I live further away than you Jonny :poke: :D

It's a completely different kind of driving, that we in the South East are sadly denied by hedgerows and junctions and a lack of Big Landscape - you'd love it. Irrespective of where we do our driving though, IMO it's what our cars are for.

It'd be great to see you on a run or two next year mate

As do I.. :poke:

Be warned though, your car will get dirty... very dirty... and no cleaning allowed while on the run...

people are always welcome to crash at mine the night before the un up.. I've a very long drive (enough for about 7 zeds), and enough garden to easily erect tents for 14 people.

plus, I live next to a pub.. so there's that.

Nice idea Ian, but Cindy won't do tents... (perhaps tents make her tense)... now if you could build a small boutique hostelry in the garden...
