SkiPi - All in one car "module" project thread

I've got a second account with another bank exactly like that, which I use for day-to-day spending...
but I spent it all whilst out, and needed to refuel the car on the way home, so used my main account.. once :headbang:

That happened with our business account, turned out the scammers had somehow installed something on one of the office PCs and (we think at least) it was serving fake NatWest webpages. Money on that went to an account in Canada, but we noticed in time to have the payment reversed with the bank. Hope your bank can sort it for you

I will be honest i have been ignoring this thread. As i knew i would want it... But dont know what your all talking about.

Ian put this in my car for me.......

I can throw in a free bath mat and some discounts at Boots..

Ian, would it be OK to meet up watermill meet an have discussion's regarding SkiPi mod and the tablet install, cheers

here's something interesting..

I've just found out how to get the left indicators or the right indicators to flash and stop on command.
I think I've also found when the stalk is depressed and released.

what I'm saying here is that I think I can add in three-flash support for pre-facelift cars into SkiPi (something that CANNOT be coded)

I'd suggest that you make it a user-selectable number of flashes - Intravee allows you to select up to (I think it's) 10, I currently have mine set at 4

That all sounds great Ian.

When is this available for my car???

That depends on if you're gonna sort my exhaust with me before my MOT next month

Huummm will it not go through without it doing? I only ask as we are hopping to get a ramp soon ish but not that soon. And it will be much easier with a ramp....

What exactly needs doing again???

I very much doubt it...

Rather than drill out and replace the four rusted splines/blots holding this pipe to the downpipe, these two pipes were cut when a garage changed my clutch.
They were patched up with a shoddy exhaust clamp, which has now rusted and never formed a great seal in the first place.

Out of the four rusted splines, I believe I've drilled out two already (can't remember.. been a while), but the rest need drilling out and replacing with nuts and bolts.
The shitty exhaust clamp needs to come off, and the two pipes rewelded back together.
There's a slim chance a small bit of extra pipe (less than half an inch) may be needed between the two halfs of pipe, but I'm not an expert, so don't know.

All in, I think it's a two-three hour job for someone competent with a welder and a drill.

this image shows what I'm on about

You did promise

and yes, with a ramp it'd be piss easy, but then my MOT is on the 8th of August...

Huummm yes that would be pi$$ easy with a ramp and a PITA without one. I can do it for you no bother. Let me have a word with my brother see if we can borrow his workshop. And another word with Mrs Monkey see if i can have a day to do it. Any idea what size the bolts are? I have a load of m8 m10 stuff that was being thrown away so hopefully use them. I also have a load of 50mm pipe from my exhaust so i have all the bits.

M10 - I think

Ideally, I'm thinking the weekend of the 1st of August (sat or sun), but I can always take a day off work if that's easier...
I can probably do beforehand too, but it all depends on getting access to my bank account :headbang:
