I've got a slight weep from this big as bolt - can anyone tell me what size the Allen is that I need?

Have you got a calliper? you could measure it then

Sorry, it's the passenger side of the sump

If it's #5 on the below diagram, then it says it's an M22x1.5.

I think you’re right, and I think the M22 size is misleading as that’s the size of the plug, not the Allen key needed to remove it.

I believe the big mutha on the side of the sump requires a 22mm hex.
