Size of cubby hole on the dash

Can anyone give me a rough idea how big the cubby hole on top of the dash is on the E89? I didn't spec the nav and took £2225 discount instead and was wondering if a 3rd party nav would sit in there? Every car I've been in so far has the nav installed...

If you get the full retrofit kit from BMW it integrates with the car's voice control and bluetooth. MSRP is something like ???? £399??? not including installation.

You can also just get the one part use it with your own Garmin Nuvi.


I don't think it looks that bad. Certainly a lot better than a suction cup and wires.

Thanks guys, that doesn't look half bad and a much more cost efficient solution than the pro nav at £2225. Not fussed about all the iDrive gubbins and only looking for the nav without the cable and suction pads making things look untidy. :thumbsup:
 
Did this ever get brought out as I've asked loads of times at the dealers but they don't know :roll:
