Sitting waiting for keys to my new......

Congratulations Adam - nice location too

Best get your woollen mill jersey and deck shoes collection updated if you're going to be hanging with the yachting crowd

Congrats!!

We love Edinburgh, amazing city. I hope to get up there at Christmas time.

I will be hitting you up for some tip on hotels with secure parking. Stayed at a Hilton last time and had to park in a public car park, cost a fortune and wasn't secure. (Hotel was great tho)

Nearly didn't get the keys today. :o

Estate agent totally cocked up the key hand over. All their staff from the Edinburgh office were at a conference :headbang:

By luck, I bumped into a guy who could help. I've only got one set of keys. Get the rest tomorrow.

Just need to get the zed lowered pronto so I'm not paying two sets of admin fees with my insurer; one for the additional mod, one for the address change. Do them at the same time and its only one policy change :D

Congratulations on your new place, looks well nice  I had the same feeling waiting for the solicitors call to inform of completion and to get keys earlier this month. Also had a similar cock up experience when they lost the contract I signed so had to go round and re-sign a new one on completion day. The whole process had been full of mishaps from beginning to end but seems that's normal according to many others who've bought properties.

The last time I moved, the estate agents handed the keys to the new owners before the funds had cleared. Even took a week to clear in the end, so it seems the norm for this lot to cock things up.

Let the estate agent wait for 2 months before I paid him though ... they were highly upset about that. Even the solicitor was very unhappy when I stopped him paying them, they all like their world to be very simple but they all seem to want to make the whole process as difficult and cumbersome as possible.

I'm just down the road just now in Crammond. Looks lovely

My old manager stays there. He used to drive an ///M5.

Hopefully catch you at the next Edinburgh meet, which I'm due to organise
