Another question? Seat covers?Not something i really wanna get as it spoils the look on the interior.
My z is fitted with the sports seat in oregan leather, however i have noticed that the drivers side bolster is already starting to wear( only slightly). Car has only covered 11000 miles and although there is a technique to gettin in and out i would have expected better.
Anybody else got a similar problem?? Was wondering how best to prevent it gettin any worse as is minimal at mo? Any thoughts????
 
Its partly why some people go for darker interiors, hides the wear and muck. I have the same, my car has 14K on the clock but the bolster where you get in and out is already showing the darker leather on the leading edge (I have white leather seats), only noticeable if you look for it tho. Mostly down to the prior owner I think as its not got much worse since I've owned it (so most of the damage was done by some fatso in under 5000 miles!).

Best you can do is either cover it up (urg) or just avoid the area best you can. At some point, when it really does your head in, just have a look online for some colour matched leather colourant and you can recolour/seal it.
 
I would not consider covers.

One of the joys of buying a tired but looked after old sofa for £30 is throwing away the cover. Someone has been living with tatty furniture for half the lifetime of the sofa and then you get clean, fresh, unmarked, unworn, quality fabric for no expense whatsoever.

I expect there are leather care products available (and where is the harm in applying them?) but it is your BMW, your money, you should get the benefit of the interior.
 
I wonder if we could do a group buy on the leather care kits... Maybe I'll give the company a call. I need some too and the majoriy colours seem to be Oregon Black or whatever the Red is called. They might not care about a mixed order if enough ordered as a bulk buy.
