Didn't exactly go to plan. Well, half of it did but the rest will have to wait for another time.

Like I said, the second half didn't go altogether to plan. I have run off-line tests and am happy the procedure works now so we're ready to go. I'll pencil this in for Saturday morning. It will likely take 1-2 hours.

Just heads up, this work will be starting tomorrow morning and will likely last approx 2 hours!

Noooooooooo !

Never mind, sorting the brakes on my Z this morning with RJS-Z4 so I'll get my fix that way :D

OK, I'm awake... slight hangover but ready to do the forum maintenance. I'll be taking it offline in 5 mins and it'll be offline for an hour or so.

Past of this work is specifically so I won't need to take it offline so much in future :)

Phew, that was an epic! All done now though and hopefully will result in a more resilient forum

These things always take longer than you expect

Tell me about it... hopefully a one off thing though, fingers crossed :)
At least this was during the day - a couple of years ago one of our SANs lost its filer head during the evening and I had to drive up to London to fix it, got back home absolutely knackered at about 6:30am and was just undressing to go to bed when my wife opens her eyes and says 'Oh if you're getting up, can you make me a cup of tea'

Ouch, that sounds like a fun experience... at least it wasn't such critical data as a Z4 forum though ;)
