Yes indeed a sad day. Heard on the way home from work. Easily the best Bond. 8) I suspect he has had some good times through his life too. Will be watching the Persuaders tonight with a little sadness in my heart.

I first came to know Sir Roger Moore as The Saint which was on TV in the late 60's every Saturday night along with his Volvo 1800. :driving: Great Show.

He reminds me of my teenage years in the 70's. All the family went to his Bond films at the cinema as soon as they came out. And I too loved the Saint and the Persuaders, he was so cool.

A very modest 'Hollywood star', every interview I've heard him give was self deprecating and egoless. He was certainly a one off and the first bond I remember, back in the days were there was a lovely naivety to action films.
