Simpsons Motorsport inspection 1 service

Hi Iam due a inspection 1 service and was thinking of using these guys as they are very close to me (8 miles) !
They quoted £576 but could be cheaper if no shims are needed?

And he said I could drop the car off in the morning bout 8am and they would leave it few hours to cool down thus no need to drop it off night before , as usual on a inspection 1 ?

Any thoughts ? If not where to go in the surrounding area ?
Any feedback would be much appreciated :D
 
I travel 4.5 hrs round trip to Simpson Motorsport, incredible people we are talking race team here, the run and build f40 lm, and service all Ferrari, my car is regularly on the ramp next to an f40, they've also done ALL the work to my car , we've cracked open my motor many a time, to put it bluntly Simpson are the best of the best , go with utter confidence.
They supercharged my z4m and custom made loAds of parts to get my oem finish I requested.... Only place I take my car and I'm a proper fussy bastard.

I wish there was somewhere like this closer to me in the hope they could help me diagnose that bloody 20mph intermittent vibration I have...
 
Buddy of mine has used them for his various high performance cars and swears by them. Same distance e drive as. Beedub.

Looks and sounds a great place, I'm off to Darren wood next week, they also seem to have a great reputation.

I wish my experience had been the same as yours. I had a diff that had a slight whine that I wanted to use with my Z3MC. I took it to them and they fitted new seals and bearings which cost me a £ few hundred. It was returned to me with the same whine. So it went back and they had another go and still couldn't sort it. They used no special tools to check for backlash (because they didnt have any) or any other settings. I was very disappointed with this experience. :( Nice people though.
