Simon's Ruby Black Z4 MC

It is a great looking car. Black on Black is aggressive, but needs a slightly lower stance imo. Get some Eibachs on it, will really set it off nicely.

Oh and some Aero skirts will really make it look that bit meaner too!

Eibachs are on my list.

Dont suppose anyone has a pic of aero and non-aero so i can compare?

A subtle mod, but really makes the car look more angled and muscular. The standard skirts make it look a bit more bloated imo. Fitting aero skirts is the equivalnt of "cutting up"

Very nice. My Raodster is black and now I am very tempted to go the black wheel route.

However, I'm not tempted to go the Coupe route :poke:

Hope you enjoy the car and spending all of the money that the forum members will continue suggest :D

lovely motor and congrats!! Although it would seem you've gone above your original budget somewhat!

You're going to love it!!

if that's fitted and painted too I think that sounds pretty reasonable... needs the front too really :-)

Black on black could be the way forward, does give it a rather aggressive stance.

Congratulations on the new purchase

Thanks for the kinds words all.

The Aero skirts do look rather well, though its not top of my to do list just yet. If i find myself with a few spare £££'s then it may be added.

For now just going to drive and enjoy :) , well once i collect it that is.

Looks nice Simon. Must admit black is the best and also worse colour imo, looks lovely but a nightmare to maintain.

Glad you have found one at last though :)

With regards to the servicing, were you expecting a service every year or two years then? Regardless of mileage?

Servicing will be done either to the schedule, or once a year. The next couple aren't big ones anyway.

I most likely will look at bushes/balljoints though starting with the front control arms and working my way back. I know how much better a freshly bushed BMW feels compared to a slightly tired set.

That is true! Or drive it

I love refreshing bits, but ultimately just don't have the time as I once did. Love playing with cars, but more in the summer where I don't get soaked!

I will be doing roughly 20k a year but split between the Z4 MC and the M3 Evo, though will probably keep the Evo mostly for the dry months.

Both will get service as per the schedules

So as the service is roughly 15k, do you do it once a year anyway?

I service mine once per year or 7k miles, whichever comes first. But I also keep to the schedule, so basically forget about the yearly change and keep to the 2 year Max regardless of miles.

I just look at over servicing being pointless as well. No point to service every year if the miles are not there. 30 years ago with mineral oils then fair enough, but today the oil will outlast the car! 2 years is perfect if it's doing low miles.
