Similar artist? (Beksinski)

Just curious if anybody knows of any other artists with the same style as zdzislaw beksinski?

I would just like to point out that this is the first time I have actually been interested in any form of "art" if its considered art to the rest of you? I'm not sure :lol:
Anyways, I am in love with the dark/skeletal look of his painting's. :D call me weird for it but, I love it.

Never seen anything quite like that before, interesting but too weird for me. You have to admire the level of intricate detail in all his pictures though.
 
not come across this artist before, but then again I am not well versed in the field

Saying that I do buy art from one particular artist, JJ Adams. I bought one of his pieces some years back and have bought quite a few more since.

Probably not to everyones liking, but his Star Wars tattoo work is excellent

Had a good look through that link 8) quite liked some of them :? it's " dark " art but i guess if it makes you think then it's doing what it should
As for similar stuff ? Sorry i'm a art dunce & haven't a clue :oops:
 
Reminds me of the start sequence from a 90's computer game. I don't look at those images and feel moved or inspired. Like I can with certain more classical art pieces. Doesn't mean it's not good art just not doing it for me.

Shame the prices don't reflect this, as some of his coveted work goes into the £1000's
 
wow... thanks for the link, I really like this kind of stuff, very unique style that i dont think you'll find too much of a similar ilk some of the landscape stuff reminds me of h. r giger's work, there is a hint of david bollt to it too, there are many elements that remind me of salavador dalis work too, scott e detweiler does some nice stuff which is actually a mix of photography and photoshop that again just sort of has some overtones of this stuff, georgiana romanova also does beautiful work that reminds me of this but as said a very unique style... very dark... i like it a lot :thumbsup:
 
Strange to read that he was (pretty brutally) murdered at the age of 76.
Who murders a 76 year old man with a knife?!?

Still pretty dark/post apocalystic pictures I think. Not something for the babyroom unless you're called Marilyn Manson.

I guess it also reminds me a bit of Don Lawrence (the comic artist)
