Anyone else heading there this weekend?
I was meant to be a passenger in a 140i but it's in the garage and won't be ready for Saturday so I'm taking the old 3.0i down the boring M6 for a few hundred miles maybe 380 , I find it a great car to drive but the furthest I've been is maybe 80 miles in one day, will my back hurt and will my mpg get much more than my usual 31/32 ?

You can generally make 40+ mpg going steady on the slab, comfort is personal but i find the msport seats ok for a days driving

Hopefully you have the sports seats. Dozens of journeys in the 500-1000 miles in a day category in the MR. Enjoyed every one of them. :D :driving:  Including the M6 a few times.

Normally go but as I can't drive this year we're going to Spa....got grandstand seats at the top of Eu rouge as I'm taking my 76yr old m-in-law who's F1 mad.

80 year old neigbour, Brenda is going up tomorrow. Also an F-1 nut.

He son works at Silverstone and has her booked into here.....

Mine has normal seats and I can tell you that it is very comfortable. Went to Italy with my girlfriend (about 800kms one way) and everything went fine.
Only thing is that I'm 27 so maybe the back is less affected. :D
Drove a 2011 RAV4 to Greece and 2005 Land Cruiser on longer trips and I can tell you that Z4 is more comfortable for me because of seating position. You can stretch your legs while cruise control is on.

About fuel consumption, I got about 7.5l/100km (37.664mpg) on my 2.2. Speed was constant about 130km/h (80mph)
