Silverstone GP

If you are, remember to take an umbrella and wellies.

Sunday doesnt look too wet at the moment, but as for today they will be lucky to do more than installation laps

Watching on red button, it's a bit wet! If it's like this on Sunday it could be an interesting race.

No Welles required. Hospitality package :)
Nice! Overnight accommodation sorted too?.. then you can really go to town on the 'hospitality'

No, didn't get back home from last trip until 11:30 last night so drove up this morning and home this evening. I don't drink much so not a problem. Wet but ok here. Pic from the paddock of a Caterham being fettled. My company sponsors them...

I was there too on that Day, we were sponsoring Sauber!

Today I took about 1000 pics on the SLR alone. I am going to be editing like a bar steward all weekend!

Just as well you weren't going Saturday - 20,000 people told to stay away ! :o

I know! No clue what has changed but the traffic was an absolute nightmare. The agency looking after Caterham's hospitality were brilliant though and had worked out various rat-runs. The only sure way to avoid the traffic is a helicopter but the charges for those are horrendous and in this weather, a lot wouldn't have been flying anyway.

The weather made for some amazing viewing, though

Fans weren't allowed to park on the muddy unsurfaced car parks and had nowhere to go causing all the grid lock on the A43 and other minor roads.
That's why Silverstone have issued the warning to the 20,000 who planned to go today to stay away.

Oh well, that'll be another tussle between Bernie and the BRDC for next year. To be fair, with the amount of money the circuit makes, you think they could get a couple of pikeys in with some "Tarmac left over from a nearby job" to put a surface on the car parks...

"cash in hand only sir"

Tapatalking...

Went to the Spanish GP this year, they also have fields acting as car parks. Fair enough with the Spanish climate but in England? Bernie is going to love this.
