Silver on Blue

LMAO you are so dull sometimes you lot :poke:

I agree there are a couple of things that could be done to enhance the scheme further but fundamentally, blue and silver complement each other naturally....silver is neutral and goes with anything, like black. Try telling an interior decorator or designer that they don't go together and you'd get whacked round the head with a handbag LOL.

But I can understand people not liking it at a personal level. Just like I think black wheels on ANY car look ridiculous - as if someone nicked the hub caps or something. And why anyone would want to paint the roof of a perfectly good car BLACK is also beyond me - but apparently thats alright?

Still, enjoy your monochrome existence people  :fuelfire:

On the band wagon not for me either. Spoils the car.

I do agree silver and blue go together but not like that.

Silver roof on a blue car you say? If it's good enough for Vauxhall, it should be good enough for us!

Hi all,

I'm Craig, the owner of the aforementioned Z4M and just joined the forum today.

I've been very interested in your comments, but the more I think about it, the more I am going to get the Hardtop Sprayed in Interlagos Blue to match the car. The silver just doesn't quite work for me on a personal level.

On the note of the exhaust, it is fitted with a Hayward & Scott catback exhaust system. That is about all I know. Sounds great, but am yet to compare it to the original (which I also have).

Have noticed a few things since purchasing the car that need sorting, windscreen has some hefty damage and a couple of the alloys need a refurb (although I may consider a set of upgraded alloys instead).

I am, on the whole, a very happy new Z4M owner and cant wait to chat to you guys about all thing Z4...

I have a black z4, and black hardtop. I would not want a silver hardtop.

White car with black top would look ok IMO

Welcome  Good choice of colour, shame the roof was an afterthought! :poke:
I've heard good things about the Hayward and Scott system, would be good to hear it

Finally!
Welcome to a wonderful forum! Lots knowledgeable folk on board who are quite generous with their knowledge.

Great car too ... as soon as you get that top color sorted. :poke:

:D

You cruel meanies, my lovely silver roof - gone forever!!! :( :( :(

Craig, interesting you mention windscreen damage. I didn't notice anything when we put it on, but I'm a bit worried about this business you mailed me about the windscreen clamp loosening during driving.....as I said in my mail, its not something I've experienced or ever heard if, so if making sure the clamp is fully tight doesn't address the problem, I'd be examining the point where it mounts the windscreen very carefully.....

Given that you've only just bought it and the problem wasn't pointed out to you, you should have some redress with the dealer.....
