Silver Grills

What is the general consensus of fitting oem silver grills
to a none 35 car?

I think the look is good, but does it look like it’s trying to be something it’s not?

My car is white, I think the silver would suit it.

Don’t see a problem myself, I’ve seen them on white zeds before & they go well 8)

I have a white Z4 with the 35i grills (mine is 20i).

Think it looks a bit different to the normal gloss black that people do.

I didn't even know only the 35's came with silver grills...

I don't think anyone would see it as trying to be something it isn't. If you like the silver, go for it.

Thanks for the replies.

The pictures look good.

@nanu, it’s the silver in the pics @ihadablackdog has posted.

I will have to get hunting a pair on eBay!

Yes, OEM. I’d give them to you. But indeed, I’m in San Fran. Postage will defeat the good intentions.

Haha most likely.

That is very kind of you regardless.

I would be happy to pay the postage charges, after all there would be no import charges, or perhaps just pass them on to a fellow American!

Love San Francisco though, a great city. Although the car I had there did start to slip backwards on some of those hills!!

Just spray them silver, that is all i did.
They separate from the chrome surround once off.
In fact i bought some black as someone reversed into my car and broke them.
Left them black for a while, but to me looks like jet engine intakes.
So sprayed them silver.
Now look like it's got it's teeth back.

As others stated your car do what you want. Good news the change is not permanent. How about alternating between both? Be bold take the high road!! :o

Tin of Hammarite must be cheaper than postage from the US

You are over estimating my skill level with paint.

They would look better covered in macaroni cheese.
They would taste better too
