Silver grey vs. Space grey

Hi all,

Been lurking on here for a couple of months, great forum and very helpful info. Still yet to sell my Z3MR, difficult market conditions out there for sure. (£7,495 if anyone's interested, see PH ad!).

I've been holding out for a 2008 Z4MC, and silver grey is my preferred colour, but after googling this morning I think I've discovered that for the 2008 MY silver grey was replaced by space grey. Can anyone confirm this, as it was a US 'google' I read.

Also, were there any changes for the 2008 MY on the Z4MC vs. previous versions? Again I've done extensive research on line and not come up with anything substantial.

Thanks all

Since there aren't significant differences on model years why the insistence on a 2008 Z4MC. Surely better to buy on condition than age? None of these cars are exactly old.

I will buy on condition, absolutely.

Main reason for trying to get a 2008 car is that I'll be using it every day as I've opted out of my company car scheme. I'll be pushing the boundary of what is an 'acceptable' business car as it's a 2 seater. If it's less than 3 years old (or at least a 2008) then that's another nice to have (in my defence of running a Z4MC instead of my current 320d!).

I looked seriously at a 58 reg Space Grey in Williams Manchester a few weeks ago. 10k miles only, but they wanted almost £25k for it. I didn't realise that it was only 1 of 2 cars in this colour!! It's gone now, not surprising with that mileage.

Ah ha, that does explain it. I'll go back to my moaning about people insisting on sat nav..... :tumbleweed:
