silly o'clock

After over 25 years of working all over the place with management consultants on large projects I take sleep whenever I can get it.

At one point I was working 8am-4am for 6 months (before I walked out), but 12-16 hour days were the norm - usually with a 4am Monday start to get a flight, and a 4pm Friday return.

Weekends became the time to try to catch up on some sleep.

Now I never seem to want to go to bed, but no matter how early I do go to bed I never want to get up before about 10am.

Still get the occasional night where I'll wake up and feel completely alert, then look at the clock and go straight back to sleep.

If you're having trouble staying asleep once you've dropped off, this is often a sign of stress... so try to eliminate any of that before bed. Writing a to-do list last thing can help?

i'm on holiday so it can't be stress lol and i've nothing to do so i cant write a list lol

Okay, you need to teach me about this "holiday" thing of which you speak.

(I should've known what I'd be letting myself in for with that one though  )

I often eat cheese and crackers around 10-11 pm. Still sleep like a rock. 6-7 hours a night is about average for me. With a lie in Saturday morning. :D
