Silencer / Muffler needed for an E85 3.0

I'm in desperate need of a silencer or muffler for my E85 3.0 - currently it has no rear box just straight through stainless steel pipes - it does sound great but too loud and aggressive for me.

I will consider any solution to quieten the noise, preferably a used silencer but if any one knows of a manufacturer of just the back box (can only get the full exhaust system on genuine), great!

I have one which I bought to experiment with baffle modifications, but never did as I decided to stay with my standard backbox. Where are you located?

So it’s just a spare used standard box you have then?

Yes, it's a standard backbox removed from a 3.0i. It's missing one of the hangers, as when removing it the cut made through the pipes also went through the hanger - but a new hanger rod could be welded on easily enough. I bought it last summer from a forum member who'd performed a straght through pipe conversion, and I paid £50 for it.

I'm in Didcot, which is around 90 miles from Huntingdon. It's surprisingly heavy, which may impact courier costs.

Nick, This seems like a opportunity for a nice ride up to meet Alan? Not trying to put Alan on the spot but thinking if Alan (as previously posted "experiment with Baffle modes". Maybe for a couple of pints and grub Alan and you could install his used backbox. Then you could really enjoy the ride home? Just a thought?

Sounds good Alan. I'd be happy to cover courier costs - would you be prepared to get it ready for a collection? I'd need to know the weight and dimensions to get a quote a first.
I do need this as soon as possible.

PS: Whilst I've amassed quite a collection of tools over the years, this doesn't include welding gear and a car lift!
