Apologies up front for asking such a trivial question! I am about to remove my side skirt to replace it witha new one and I dont know if its possible to reuse the bayonet fittings after removal? If not does anyone know where to get new ones and what type they are? :?
Thanks in advance

If you remove the skirt and they dont break they can be reused, but there is always a chance some will break :(

I removed the side skirts from mine recently. I did replace the fittings got them from the local dealer @ £1.07 each.
It's not they break, but some stretch. So when u refit it doesn't pull in tight..

Always best to use new fittings for all they cost Stu . I got some as spares from fleabay.

Part number 5 is what you want and it's an expanding rivet http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showparts?id=BT32-EUR-05-2004-E85-BMW-Z4_25i&diagId=51_4862

A few on fleabay http://m.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_nkw=51118174185&isNewKw=1&isRefine=true&mfs=GOCLK&acimp=0&_trksid=p2056088.m2428.l1313.TR0.TRC0.X51118174185&sqp=51118174185

Did you manage to get all the two part clips (part 4) all back in place ok?

Thats a good point as I had forgot about those as one of mine broke when I removed my side skirt.

TBF I think they are probably worse then part 4. I had new ones included with my aero skirts so not a problem, but not sure how easy it is to get both halves back together when trying to fit the skirt as when using new clips they are already mated.
