Wen to the lakes meet and met a fellow zeder with a sapphire black zed. He had a type of decal/resin fitted behind the front wheel on the lower skirt and in front of the rear wheel again on the side skirt. He explained that these had been fitted to protect the car from stone chips. I can now, some months later understand why. Does anybody know where i could buy something like these?A decal manufacturer maybe?

Its called "helicopter tape". 3M do it on roles and sheets depending on how much you need
eBay - stone protection film. I masking taped some paper in place, used a pencil to shade and define the edges to make a template, use to cut out film.
Top tip - turn said template over and recut on protection film to make an identical but reverse copy for the other side.

3M Scotchgard clear film, 6 mil. thickness. You can buy it in many different sizes.
Where do i buy the scotch guard from? Do you know if it it easy to fit?

Easy to fit, just make your own pattern using paper and then cut the film to size. I've got them in back of front wheels, front and back of rear wheels. You can spray water to position them first, then squeege the bubbles out. If the piece is small enough, you can dry fit in place also.
