Side skirt adhesive.

The little rubber seal has been “repaired” with contact adhesive by some idiot before I got the car. What is the black sticky stuff that goes between the seal and the skirt? Butyl?

Been to bmw today. It’s butyl cord. They have it in the bmw workshop in 50m drums. You could ask for a couple of metres of it or get a 30m drum from amazon for £30.

I’ve never heard of butyl cord, just butyl tape. Will check with my local dealer otherwise Amazon it is. Thanks

I am sure butyl cord is just rounded butyl tape. Same stuff, different shape. When you squash it, it will be the same.
