I quite like the look of the side signal chrome trim/light replacement. Any idea where I'd get some? I've looked on ebay and searched UK after market BMW accessory suppliers but cant find any.

Like this:

Ta!

I got mine last year via http://www.bmwland.co.uk for £99.98 all in.
BMWLand has been down for the last several weeks as Matt, the site owner/admin, has recently died and no-one else has full site access

Jimbo, I presume you got yours through the BMWLand forum discount offered by BMW Cotswold who were one of the site sponsors?

The OP could also try Soapers as they give a Z4-Forum discount

I think I got 10% off Perry.

OP..........what you're after are "LCI Repeaters". You'll confuse them if asking for trim.

Cheers, I wasn't very sure what they were called.

I asked my local dealer, who I bought the car off a month ago, to get me a price. Still not heard back

Mind you the car was supposed to come with a wind deflector fitted and when I pointed out the salesman it was missing he said he'd order one from Germany (which he has since promised me he has done). An effin month on, I'm still waiting. F***er never answers his fone neither. I feel a complaint coming on and I'm of a mind to with hold the finance repayments to BMW tiI get the soddin' thing. Well, they've sold me a car that's not as described :D

Dead easy......10 mins a side max all done from under the bonnet. Simples.

Right, got a pair today direct from the dealership I bought the car from, £93 inc VAT so decent price.

Can't seem to access them from the engine bay tho, looks like the wing has to be removed. There are brackets and bolts at the top holding the wing to the engine bay but is the wing slotted into the bottom and pull up or are there more fixings down there??

Job done by myself. Quite chuffed it was so simple. Should have taken pics while I was doing it but never thought. Can't go back and do it again because of the double sided tape fixing.

1) Popped out the white diamond shaped repeaters with a wee plastic trim remover tool.

2) Unplugged them.

3) Plugged in the new ones.

4) Checked both were working.

5) Peeled off the double sided tape paper backing.

6) Gently pushed the new ones into the hole in the wing. They then self secure with the spring clips fitted to them. Thete's not even any need to align them as once inserted there's little or no movement and they sit perfectly.

7) Pressed along the length of the unit to get the double sided tape to stick.

Bob's yer aunty fanny. Simple as can be and only a few minutes a side and that's with me not having a bloody scooby what I was doing. :D :D Looks sweet too imo.
