Side mirrors are discoloring

On both my side mirrors (passenger and driver side) they starting to dis color. It almost looks like they put a tinting on the mirror for the reflection and it is coming off. I don't know how to explain it because I have never had this happen. Has anyone of heard of this happening?

My driver side has a strange light green tint to it now. I thought it was the lighting around me, but nope!

Any ideas on the best way to replace both mirrors? I don't think they are heated mirror but on the other hand I'm not sure therefore how would I know if they are heated mirrors and what's the best way to replace them.

Do you have the auto-dim feature? That explains the green tint. If you do have the auto-dim and it's peeling, you're looking at $$$.

That's just it, I don't know if I have an auto dim or not. Is their any sure way that I can tell if I do?

you can tell if they are heated by touching them - always on and get quite toasty!

You'd know if you had them, they work like the interior mirror when light shines on them. Try shining a torch or something at them and see if they dim.

I tried taking a picture of them but the picture doesn't really show up.

One way to tell if they're auto-dim is the approaching headlights will have a greenish cast to them. Readily apparent to someone not used to them.

I touched them and they are heated. Thanks for the advice on that.
Now what's the cheapest way to replace the heated mirrors?
