Side mirror not folding up

Hi all,

I'm new to this forum as I just bought a z4 2004 2.2i import from Japan. I got a problem with my new car which is the side mirror is not folding up. I have seen other 2.2i that imported from Japan are folding up no problem. However mine doesn't work but i can adjust my side mirrors from the panel no problems so i don't think it is the button problems. Do any of you know how can i reset it or are m side mirrors folding up function not working?

Do you have that feature as it is always an extra? You would have an extra push button next to the adjustment switch to move the mirrors. I doubt you have that ...

I'm not sure if i got that function as i bought it as a 2nd hand car

but yes i do have the little button in my car panel

there is 3 buttons there

1 is the large square button to adjust the mirrors on the side up and down left and right
2 is the selecting left or right mirros to adjust

and i got the 3rd one which is like a little round button but when i press it it doesn't respond

Not sure how the setup actually works but if neither mirror is folding then this sounds like an electrical 'power' issue rather than a mechanism failure. First port of call for me for this sort of failure is to check the fuses.
