I apologize for joining primarily to ask a favor. Although, I have been reading all posts for about 6 weeks. I recently bought a US model 2007 Z4 and had the dealer replace a bad battery after one week of ownership. This was three weeks ago. The problem is on Christmas Eve, as I approached my car, I noticed my right side markers were on. I drove home and they stayed on. I have done everything I know to get them off including, out of necessity, removing the neg. battery connection (overnight). I’ve turned the light switch every direction, held the turn signal after removing key, opened and closed doors, locked and unlocked, etc. I don’t know if there is a relationship but I believe the lights are the same parking lights set by holding the turn signal stalk in one direction (right in my case) for two seconds after removing the key on some BMW models.
I would love to know if anyone has knowledge of this happening and of course what was done to fix it. Any suggestions are appreciated. I posted this on Bimmerfest and have not had any luck.
