Side indicator on, light bulb warning on dash

As of today I got a warning light in the dash for a bulb failure, and my passenger side orange light is on and stays on, even after turning the car off and the lights off. No errors from my scanner tool, but the warning light in the dash is on and stays on, and the side indicator light won't go out. All the lights seem to work as intended, and the indicator flashes correctly when activated. Checked fuses, everything seems fine. Any ideas on what to check or how to fix before it drains the battery?

Funnily enough I just answered that on a fb page. Was that you too?
If the sidelight bulb fails then the indicator comes on in its place.
If you replace the sidelight bulb you should find the indicator goes out again.
Could be that the sidelight is still working but giving too high resistance.

Wasn't me, but thanks for the tip. Odd that a light which seemingly works is failing then. I'll replace the bulb tomorrow, see what happens. Thanks again!

So I managed to replace both the indicator and parking light bulbs (and broke the indicator bulb holder in the process -- need to order a new one for that), but the lights stay on, and I still have a broken light indicator in the dash. I checked all the other lights., and everything seems fine.
Both the indicator and parking lights are on, both seem to work just fine, i.e. the blinker blinks as expected, they just won't turn off. They're off briefly when starting the car, but then light up again when the car is running or just sitting there.
Any clues?

Hmmm. Well I've seen an indicator come on before when the LCM had an internal fault, but i'm pretty sure that was both sides?

If you had Scanner 1.4 you could try turning off the bulb checks for each bulb in turn to see if that cures it.

Regular beams and high beams are all fine. Think I found the issue, I missed this when I looked earlier. But the halo light on that side is out, which seems like it would result exactly in this problem (indicator light permanently on). Seems that's an easy fix too, if I'm correct it's partnumber 63127170858.
One complication is that I'm reading that if the indicator stays on even when the car is turned off, and the indicator stalk is in 'neutral' position, it's more likely to be the LCM. This seems like more of an issue., especially as a possible replacement if I can even find one will have to be coded to the car ..
Before figuring out if/when I can fix this, might disconnect the battery before it runs flat :(

Well obviously the halo needs changing first with fingers crossed.
If it's the LCM, then in fact, as long as you get the correct sort (Xenon or Halogen), it's not too stressful. Both the Instrument Cluster and the LCM carry the car's build info, so unless you do a full recoding you will have different info in them. But to simply get it working, Scanner 1.4 can be used to set the VIN and the odometer. That will get the tamper dot out.
Also, the front fascia can be swapped over so you don't have to worry too much about getting grey or black.
