I think they look pretty good if I do say so myself. Not easily repeatable so pretty much one off's for my car. It certainly tidies up the gap and hides the roof workings. Cost around £25 all in for the material (glue, sponge, canvas)

Great job well done.

I bought a pristine pair off another member, they cost 10 times what it’s cost you.

I love mine, they make the car look loads sleeker.

Just used a piece of cardboard to get the shape from my car. Bit of trial and error. Then transferred it to 1.5mm steel sheet. I got some off-cuts from work. Used a jig saw to cut it out. Left about 1/2" inch extra along the curved edge so I could knock that down so it fitted in behind the rubbers. Bit of metal bending and panel beating - again trial and error. Measured where the hole needed to be for the locking mechanism. These were 2 thumb screws of e-bay with long M6 bolt. Used a ball pein hammer and large socket to create a dish in the metal where they fitted so they wouldn't stock out too much. Bit of perspex I had lying around for the actual locking arm. Then covered in thin black self adhesive foam. I used foam block which I shaped to create a wedge in the corner where the roof gap is so it would be hidden. Then used upholstry spray adhesive to glue on the black canvas (e-bay again) Made sure there was plenty to tuck underneath and glue. Then black gaffer tape to make sure no loose edges underneath. Because of the foam around all the edges the covers are a tight fit anyway so the locking arms are a bit belt and braces but worthwile. I also used some blocks of foam on the underside so the covers can't get pushed too far down in to the gap. The OE plastic ones certainly look neater as they follow the contours better but I'm happy with my efforts considering the cost and the amount of use they will get.
