Well wonders will never cease this will now kill the over inflated prices on side covers I think still waiting to hear price but available in gloss and matt with possibly more colours to come Screenshot_20190808-053345_Facebook.jpg

Two things.

1. those in the first picture look shite.

2. The catch is meant to separate if you put the roof up with the covers in place. If they are making the catch out of aluminium as the other picture suggests and with the fixings used then I could see potential roof damage.

Totally agree, I wonder what sort of money we are talking about for these. They're only going to kill the silly OEM pricing if they' re good quality/fit and relatively cheap. I'm still surprised either BMW directly or the manufacturer who originally made these for BMW haven't clocked on to the demand there seems to be and put them back into production

yes the gloss ones are not great matt would look better or even colour coded yes the catch could cause a problem if roof closed so maybe don't close roof while fitted

People who do what you've suggested in the 2nd point deserve all the harm that comes to their Z4

I hope the guy hasn't spent a lot on R&D to get these into production , I really can't see any huge demand for them & other than a static show when does anyone actually use them :?

I'm not. Very much doubt there is much demand for them at all. Demand may exceed supply, but that is only because they are rare items, as few people wanted them in the first place.

A commercial manufacturer is not going to tool up for a run of a few hundred, knowing that they are pushing the price down with every one they produce. A hobbyist on the other hand, can afford to take a punt. Those however, look rubbish and could potentialy damage your Zed, I can"t see them making much profit.

Good luck to them any way, always good to have people supporting our favourite cars. :)
