side badges

i have a 2.5si

i have taken off the side badges '2.5si' because one of them was starting to wash the chrome off.
i first had the intention to leave it without side badges, however there was a scratch under one of them (probably the previous owner covered it up)

i have some black chrome m sport badges, however since the car only has m sport interior and shocks, i was reluctant to do them. although i must admit that the badges are quite nice.

question: i would like to know if there is anyone supplying the '2.5 si' side badges in 'black chrome'

thanks

Hi!

Sorry to jump on the thread but I was wondering the same thing... can you get the 3.0si and the Z4 badge in something like black chrome / black / carbon? Thinking of going for the black carbon BMW badges all round on the coupe + the carbon rear spoiler and think this would finish the look of nicely?!

Ebay mate, there is a chap called Ian who is good on there, i just bought a load from him, they are quality i got them today :)

E bay is a good start - Shidevil can you post a link? Bimmian do overlays for the badges so you can have any colour combination you want. I have used them - they are extremely durable and excellent quality. http://www.bimmian.com/

One example, just search for Carbon BMW Badges, there is a post on the forum which tells you which size you need as well

I think you need the bonnet badge, which is 82mm.

Steve

The bonnet badge is actually smaller at 73mm. Boot and sides are 82mm with the sides needing to be slightly modified (cutting of plastic pins) to fit.

I think the OP is talking about the engine model badge not the BMW badge

I got a set of carbon badges (all 9) for £53 from an Ebay seller - which was th cheapest i could find them... and they fit perfect - if you need the details i can dig them up when i get home (no eBay access at work!)

Also bought from him before, PM me and I'll send you his catalogue in .pdf file. Doesn't have the blacked out numbers but perhaps you can ask him anyway.

I think you will find, I highlighted the link as an example and mentioned it was 82mm underneath :P

"One example, just search for Carbon BMW Badges"

and

"I think you need the bonnet badge, which is 82mm".

I'm being pedantic today :P

And I was simply correcting by saying that the bonnet badge is not 82mm but 73mm :fuelfire:

Anyway enough of the banter - Ian is a top seller for the badges. Excellent quality

Nice ones guys but I had already found the boot/bonnet/wheel centre BMW badges from ebay and was after a "3.0 Si" badge for the sides and a "Z4" badge for the back in black or carbon? As suggested I might give that Ian guy a mail and see if he can do them.

i spoke to ian
he does not have side badges (2.5 si in my case) in black chrome

i also went to the bimmian site
they do not provide overlay badges for the z4
and tried to make a custom badge, but i cannot find the option to change the colour of the chrome

i think i will have to stick to the m power badges i got :(
i like them, but since the negine is not an 'm' i was reluctant to do them
