Afternoon all,

So we all suffer the same issue with the fogs turning into a Nemo fish tank. I've heard they do have plastic blanks to take the place of the fog light does anyone know where they can be found?

The reason I'm asking is these blanks could be converted to take some tasteful DRLs.

I have said blanks, they are £30 each from dealers.

I was looking to fit DRLs to them but the curve is too great for what I have.
I'm not having much luck splitting them either :headbang:

Blanks actually look alright on their own.

I believe powebulbs sell a Philips drl type kit to fit the fogs, they are led and colour matched to what hid/Xenons you have fitted. Not cheap though.

Well some help splitting the damn things would be nice!

I'll take a shot later, I certainly don't think they're any worse. Could even paint them to match if one was so inclined.
 
Right just spoke with BMW. They gave me the part numbers

It's worth getting new screws and receivers for them, originals may be rusty and or stuck.

I assume that this price is for them unpainted?
 
They don't offer painted or primed, just black. You'd have to do that all yourself.

One side was a right ballache, screws were rusted in tight, had to drill one out.

Other than that, three screws each and you're done. They certainly don't look any worse than the aquaria. Just wish the DRLs would fit.
 
Why not just let them fill with water and then pop a goldfish in each one! Customised or what!
 
I have a pair of these blanks sitting at home waiting for install. But Im going to paint them. I think they look much better painted.
