I knew that it would be a bradmarsh :wink: car, but I was expecting somelove.
They are sooooo comfy.
I know they're crap at corners, staying in one piece, and choosing their owners, and in my defence I only had it a week.
 
Like you inks I test drove a Ford Cougar and really liked it but everyone I mentioned it too slated it so I ended up with a ST24 Mondeo instead and years ago I nearly purchased a Puma brand new as I just loved them to bits! :oops:

I have never owned a French car and most probably never will but I have to say I quite like the Megane RS models but I know I could never actually buy one for fear of it dropping to bits after 10 minutes!!...I suppose I gave a TVR a chance so it could be worth a gamble! :lol:

I passed my test in a Fiat Tipo - complete with digital dash, so seduced by the boxiness and the high tech! :oops:
I never did get to drive it down some stairs (like in the advert). Although when my instructor said to go 'straight across' a mini roundabout (one of those little 'hills' in the road') I did take it literally... got away with it as it was my first lesson! ;)

As for guilty pleasure, I'd not feel guilty at all about driving a Ford Puma.. I think they look great and drive well enough to back those looks up! Mine would be some sort of street sleeper, like a K11 Nissan Micra (my wife had one until recently) only with a very naughty drivetrain dropped in. Or one of those crazy modded over-turbo'd 80's Volvo 240 estates - I'd want them to appear totally standard on the outside but for the normal blemishes of a workhorse...
 
Hmm, ok let me have another go. This was actually my guilty pleasure. When you're a young guy, 22-23 this certainly isn't cool and has no street cred. However, it was amazing comfortable and had all the bits. Was a cheap buy and made money on it when I sold it.

Reliant Robin van was actually my first car. Like this one but in white.
I thought it was great at the time with only having a bike license. I put Wolfrace slot alloys on and did deep button dralon inside :oops: :oops:

Couldn't agree more and it fascinates me how light cars used to be and the great thing about a light car is you don't need loads of power for it to feel quick...I suppose in this day and age we all like mod cons and obviously the safety side of things has a massive impact on weight.

I loved the eighties though :thumbsup:
