It performs a lot better than it looks. A plastic fantastic. Where are the days of polished cam covers and braided hosing with anodised fittings snaking round the bay..

Exactly that. I'll start with a small block Chevy v8 with holdebrook carb, you put me right.

Correct.....6.3litre SBC Edelbrock inlet....Holley Carb....Alloy block....Dry Sump...all mated to a Porsche G50 transaxle. 560ft/lb torque....

Ultima GTR almost completed the build..

Thanks John

It's been a lengthy build, but a fairly straight forward one. There are still a lot of small jobs to do which tend to take up a disproportionate amount of time. I've had the engine running and it sounds like thunder and a bit scary.

I've been in a few quick cars, my Z4 (3.0Sdrive) is quick and refined and fun with all the bells and whistles, but when it comes to working on it hmmmmmm, I've been in a 190bhp supercharged Lotus Elise S1 Raw and super quick streets faster than the Z4. I have a Lotus Elan S4 1968 it's quick (not Z4 quick) and back to basics but can be worked on (iconic car love it). The Ultima performance figures are seriously scary 0-60 in 2.7sec, 0-100 in 5.5sec, 30-70 in 2secs......my wife doesn't want me to drive it......we'll see...

regards David

:o all amazing figures, but I reckon the 30-70 in 2 seconds has to be the biggest adrenaline dump there is :driving:
