first off, the icycles hanging in the picture may look like they're above the car, but in reality they were not directly above the car.
With regard to the windshield wipers, i have learned to always flip them up before a snow or ice storm. This way, ice/snow does not freeze to the blades and they are a snap to clean up.
Believe it or not, these pics were taken in queens, ny, about 10 miles outside of manhattan. My car is just caught in an awful snow drift---all the snow from the roofs of all the houses and buildings within a 2 mile radius is surrounding my car.
it took my buddy and I at least an hour to get it out of there.
