Just thought I'd let you know that out here in Western Canada we don't get as much snow as you poor sods got. Good luck, Keep the zeds inside and don't try anything crazy now.... :thumbsup:

Where you from? Im surprised you don't get much snow given that western Canada has some of the best ski and snowboarding resorts in the world. Last time I was in Whistler they had 5 metres of base.

Shidevil. Most of the moisture gets dropped on the west side of the Rockies as it tries to get over the higher altitudes, that's why the interior can get 20 feet of snow and we get two. Once the moisture gets past Lake Louise and Banff it starts to hit the Eastern slopes (where Calgary is) and we get the leftovers. We get the really nasty cold temps instead (-44 in Sundre last week) ands at those temps it's basically too cold to hold any moisture, so much less snow. We end up with packed snow about 6 inches thick on the roads and blue skies at minus 10 to minus 30 for most of the winter. That's why my zed is snuggled in the garage with a blanket (trickle charger). :D

Drove from Vancouver (after a few days driving around Vancouver Island), across the Rockies via Whistler, Jasper Lake Louise and Banff ending up in Calgary a few years back. Was the greatest road driving experience I've ever had; absolutely stunning. Was April too so there was enough snow around still but not impassable. Highly recommended drive. Love Canada :thumbsup:
