Show us ya snow pics!

Yesterday's commute into work :P

And these were this morning after we'd cleared the road. Again. It's since snowed pretty much constantly since and there's a further 3-4" ont eh bits we just cleared. Estimated total depth that's fallen since Friday night is 30-36" (2.5-3 foot!). The Z4 is obviously going nowhere lol.

Don't have too much snow where I stay, as I'm right on the coast, but here's the view from my house across the river Clyde

Z4 Beemer, are you on the southside of the Clyde? Langbank sort of area?

Yes, a bit further west though - I'm pretty much at the "tail of the bank" :D

The photo is looking over towards the Roseneath transmitter. Helensburgh is pretty much opposite me and if I look to the far right of the river I can just about make out the Erskine bridge.

My Daughters decided it was more fun to cover the entire car with snow rather than clearing it

Love the husky JonW, what is he(she?) called? Looks right at home playing in the snow :D

Right. You lot take the blame for getting me off my warm cosy seat in front of the fire and into a cold street armed with an SLR and getting strange looks from passing pedestrians. So just what is so strange about a person taking photos of snow that means you have to stop dead in your tracks and gawp at them until you realise they are actually looking at you?! :?

I'd post one of the car, but it's not here...

We got off lightly in Cardiff, this was about 2 hours before the snow stopped.

The whole City still came to a grinding halt though and my 15 minute drive home took me an hour.

Luckily I didn't go on the M4, there was a 26 mile tail back from Magor to Llantrisant.

If we had the levels of snow you get in North England and Scotland it would be hillarious

Where about in Derby are you from? Is All of Derby as bad as that?

i'm near the city centre just off burton road

the main roads are all fine but if you go down any side streets with little traffic, then yes they are like this :D

Pahh you southerners don't even know what snow is! :poke:

Well here's todays offering in Rotherham.

The view from my window this morning. Spot the Zed?!

Even the main road (top of the gates) was covered in it. The X5 made it out but struggled.

Outside my front door. Dressed for the weather! (And no, we weren't trying to get the 6 out lol, just wanted something out of it!)

And we're ready for the 45 minute walk! It was this deep all the way to work! But we still called in Asda and got a few bags of shopping to take home after!

Lucy.. i take it's pretty bad up there, i'm on a course in Hull sunday and wondered if you think my zed we'll make it up there?

Soft southern driver

Cheers

As Paddy says, if it stays like this then probably not. But I have heard that today and tomorrow are to be the worst. And the end of the week/weekend won't be so bad. I will let you know at the end of the week. I want to get out and about too!

"Love the husky JonW, what is he(she?) called? Looks right at home playing in the snow :D "

Hi cj_eds,

he's an Alasakan Malamute which is a very similar breed to the Husky but quite a bit bigger. His name is Kaiser and he's having a ball in the snow!!!

OK here is what it is like in Wexford, Ireland this morning. Cleared the roof of last night as I was worried about the weight on the top. Glad I got my tonneau cover I can tell you! Anyway got me thinking...... What if you crossed a Z4 roadster with an X5, Mmmmm.....

Ahh i live in the city center too... in Friar Gate... but down in London at the moment.. trying to get away from the snow.. which has reached here now too :(

I'll have to keep a lookout for you in Derby

Took some better photos this morning after more snow overnight here in SE London. Nothing compared to you northerners of course, but sufficient for me to decide to work from home with the thermostat turned up :D

Still playing with my new D90 toy (so don't judge me!) but note the friendly silver Zed parked opposite me. Not sure if it's a forum members but do see it around SE3 quite a bit.

:D :D Hey Lucy, can you give me Harryella's number, reminds me of an ex girlfriend :D :D :D :titshake: :titshake: :titshake:
