She's long furred so after a bath I like to stick her in the tumble dryer for 10 mins or so to make her fluffy again...

Just before we moved to France, we were having dinner with the folks we bought the house from when we heard that out dog Millie had died in kennels. As you can imagine this was very upseting for us, and our new French friends were extremely concerned and upset.
When, a few months later we finally moved into our house, we were again invited for dinner, after which Pierre asked us to follow him into their basement, where, to our suprise, he presented us with a puppy called Champagne, which was the only light brown puppy in a litter of six that their French Spaniel had recently produced. This photo was taken some months later on my sixtieth birthday...

Seven years later, this is Charly (as we now call him) with Mollie, a cat that came with us from England...

Moved out two years ago now and after never being allowed pets I had to get something. Wasn't home enough for a dog, but they rock, such weird personalities at times and Salem bought me in a full sized wood pigeon a month or so ago.

Oh, and Hugo back there, my two are the opposite, tiny tiny cats, people still think they're kittens! Hugo is an utter beast!

Salem is absolutely lovely. We have a thing for black cats, we've had 4 over the years, three together until the middle of 2011 when Grimley developed stomach cancer and sadly died at 13. Klawdia is a Burmese cross and coming up on 14 and Boris is our youngster at 7 although he still looks and behaves like a kitten :)

Does Klawdia "talk"? I had a Burmese cross and he used to make the most incredible noises and would often make noises in response to being talked to. He also used to sit on the garden wall and make booming noises that freaked out the neighbours dog :)
